Stardust Music for Kids provides enriching musical experiences for young people in Kenora.
Our programs engage kids in discovering their innate musical potential, developing their talents,
and cultivating their love of music in a lively and supportive learning environment.
Kristen Malbranck holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice and a Bachelor of Education in Music from McGill University, as well as Orff Certification from the University of Manitoba. With over 10 years of experience teaching music, Kristen has seen how music education has a substantially positive effect on the lives of young people. Over the years she has taught children in French and English at the McGill Conservatory of Music, the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts, as well as at many elementary schools and community organizations across Canada. Equally at home singing and playing pop, folk, rock, soul, blues, classical and jazz, she believes that developing a holistic understanding of many genres can empower young students in their musical journey. Her students describe her as kind, supportive, creative, and a lot of fun.

Originally from the francophone community in Winnipeg, Kristen came to Kenora in 2020 inspired by the natural landscape of the woods and lakes. As a vocalist, musician and educator, she is passionate about creating joyful and exciting musical experiences for kids in Kenora.

Kristen is a member of the Ontario Music Educators' Association, the Manitoba Orff Chapter, and Choirs Ontario.
